How it started

Morgan was diagnosed with celiac disease first, after years of being told her symptoms were "just stress" or "just IBS." A blood test and an endoscopy later, she finally had an answer — and a whole new way of eating to figure out, seemingly overnight.

Less than two years later, Allie was diagnosed too. Celiac disease runs in families — first-degree relatives of someone with celiac have a significantly higher chance of developing it themselves, which is why doctors often recommend relatives get screened. For the sisters, it meant they weren't navigating this alone.

What started as swapping restaurant recommendations and recipe fails in a group text turned into this website: the resource we wish we'd had on day one.

What we're about

Safety first

We only recommend restaurants and products based on what we've personally researched or eaten — including calling ahead, asking about shared fryers, and reading every label. If something isn't a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, we say so.

No gatekeeping

Celiac disease is overwhelming enough without hunting for reliable information. Everything here is free, and we link out to the medical resources we trust.

Still figuring it out

We don't have it all figured out either. We're two sisters in Chicago sharing what's worked for us — not doctors or dietitians. Always double check with your own care team.

A quick note on medical advice

Morgan and Allie aren't doctors, dietitians, or medical professionals — this site reflects their personal experience living with celiac disease. Always talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian about your own diagnosis and treatment plan.
